Week Notes 2026-11
Very hectic week leading up to spring break. Work was a little crazy. We were able to get out and about with people over the weekend and that was a good reminder that makes me always feel a little more sane.
Went down a deep bandcamp rabbit hole on barber beats projects.
A few faves:
I Don't Know Unless I Try - MICROMECHA
FAST LIFE - Time Fragment
Anathema - Oblique OccasionsMoved all my podcast listening off my phone onto my iPod now. Having access to a limited amount of hand picked choices has got me in the groove of appreciating well crafted audio storytelling again. Not just treating it as background noise.
Got TubeArchivist installed on the home server and started moving all my must haves over there. I'm starting to think hard drives are good for you.
Reading/Listening
Never Post! - Posting Disease, with Bijan Stephen
- Pod worth your ear time.
There is No Anti Memetics Division - qntm
- Not quite finished with it yet but FUCK ME UP it's good. Very up my alley. I'm trying to read some quicker reads. I really need to read more horror sci-fi evidently.
Joan Westenberg's assorted works
- Joan has very quickly become one of my favorite inter-webs writers. A couple of her recent essays worth your time:
Why Intelligence Is a Terrible Proxy for Wisdom
The Noble Path
